A typical country view from the Wealdway long distance footpath between Tunbridge Wells and Bidborough in Kent, south east England. This part of the route is also on the High Weald Walk, another popular trail. The trees are common, English or European oaks (Quercus rober). Winter trees in the UK often have wonderful shapes and really add character to the countryside. The late winter afternoon sunshine brings out the textures in the bark beautifully.
